It's only been 59 days...or 8.5 weeks...or two months but here we are! After several sniffly episodes for all, a stomach bug and ear infection for Dagon, and the standard insanity, I think we are finally well and ready for the pollen season to start! Yippee! And we are the heathly types. I'm sure some of you out there have suffered much worse. So you're thinking why a little illness should keep me from updates???? Mainly, other than Dagon's Birthday, our first trip to Chuck E Cheese and Seager's first trip to the dentist (pictures to follow) there really hasn't been much going on.
The real reason for the delay???? My mind has been OTHERwise occupied. Well in January, instead of sitting at the computer late at night I actually read a couple of books. Went to bed with the rest of the family and STAYED there and read and went to sleep. Michael Crichton's Timeline was a great read. Then came January 31.
Unless you are a Lostie you won't know what that date was....yep the latest Season of LOST began. I am hooked. No other show on TV has ever kept you guessing and wanting more like this one. Unlike other shows, the trailers don't give it all away and you spend a week waiting and waiting. Then I made a huge discovery/mistake. The ABC LOST message boards. Apparently there are lots of people out there who are addicted on a level that I can't even comprehend. These are people who watch each episode 10 times and research and study and discuss. They can also remember details from Season 1 (four years ago) that are key to the mystery. Now, if this show had happened in Angela's Life BC (that's before children) I would probably be right there with them, but since I have 3 Boys to take care of I just read the posts from the Smart Ones and learn from their research. Unfortunately, that is just as addictive as the damn show. Every time I had a few minutes to sit down at the computer and update I clicked the Lost link instead of the Blog link. So there.
If you are a Lostie, email me and tell me who is in the damn coffin and why Kate would keep going back to Jack after getting some Sawyer...If you are not a Lostie, all is not LOST! Go directly to Netflix.com and rent the entire first three seasons IN ORDER and catch up. You will be able to watch this season online. If you wait until it is over and the secret/mysteries are out, you will miss the fun of trying to put the puzzle together. And if nothing else, you will enjoy the "views." I find the show really stimulates my... brain...in an intellectual way...you know, it makes you think...about...(putting shovel down now.)
There are others to look at if you don't prefer smart-ass blondes.
Speaking of extremely good looking, athletic blondes with alot to say...look at this guy! The birthday boy is jumping his heart out at Monkey Joe's! (a jumping indoor playground).

Here he is going down the big slide! His brother is still sitting at the top of the slide. He will not slide down. Mommy has to climb up and "help" him slide the first time. After that he was just as adventurous as little brother.

Then on to the Mexican Restaurant for the Birthday celebration! I'm not sure if Seager was purposely doing a strip tease but it is now forever captured in the official "blowing of the candles" picture.

Of course the next day we were off to Mamaw and Papoo's for part TWO of the celebration. The theme..."Choo Choo, All Aboard!" Dagon's favorite phrase!

and gets rewarded immediately for the kindness!

Blue Eyes sparkling!
This kid is a comedian! Now that he is talking he is quite a character. It's amazing how the personality just comes out when they can communicate. He is funny, and clever and can be quite dramatic. I find myself laughing out loud at least once or twice a day at something he says.

A week after the festivities, the Rat was let out of the bag. I delayed the inevitable as long as humanly possible. Then the call came. "It's a Party...at Chuck E. Cheese...on a SATURDAY...at 2:00. I'm scared, Joe is hoping the rumor that they sell beer is true (it is) and the boys couldn't be more excited! I am glad to report we all lived to talk about it. It was not as bad as I had expected but it was extremely hot in there. It will actually be quite fun if we go...Monday morning when the masses are working and at daycare.
Speaking of firsts...Seager had his first visit to the dentist! He did GREAT! I chose a Children's Denist and was not disappointed. I have huge respect for the professionals in that office. They only see kids and they see alot of them. They had two rooms with 5 chairs in each. They were all full! I was amazed at their system. The office was completely covered with murals of jungle scenes in the waiting room that continued to the back with an underwater theme. As you will see in the picture below, the monkeys from the jungle area were creatively merged into the underwater scenes. Another monkey was watching Seager from a submarine window. Very cute! While we waited for the hygenist, Dagon pretended to be the Dentist...much to Seager's disagreement.
Seager had no cavities and was complemented on his tooth brushing abilities...Score!
Well that about brings you up to date on the last two months. I did find these two playing...I'm not sure, but it involves lots of giggles and fruit-of-the-looms on the wrong end. I'll leave you with that mystery.

Angela,
What is it with your boys and underwear on their heads? I seem to remember a picture around Halloween with Seager and Dagon wearing underwear "turbans"! They must take after their dad!!!
