but I will elaborate anyway, it is a blog.
After Joe semi-recovered from his bug bout, we were off on our New Year's trip to Mexico Beach! Last year we were so lucky and had great weather. This year was even better! Low to mid seventies, not a cloud in the sky, and a heated pool! What more could you ask for to end your year. Unfortunately, the "bug" got Mommy 15 minutes after we checked into our room and she went straight to bed. Joe took over and was Mr. Mom for the next 24 hours. He did a great job and Seager was very happy to spend the alone time with Daddy!
Friday morning the bug was gone and all was right with the world. (except for the nagging fear that Seager was going to get sick any minute!) I guess the sea air and his uncompromised immune system killed the bug and Seager never slowed down for a minute! We were off to the pool! This was especially great for Mommy...swimming is great for preggos and really takes the weight off her back. Seager enjoyed sitting on the step of the pool and singing for hours. He and Daddy enjoyed their relaxing day by the pool!
We enjoyed dinner out with Lynn and Brian and finally got Seager to bed. Naps are just not an option at the beach so bedtime comes fairly easily, one second he's awake, the next he is gone! New Year's Eve was equally as lovely with a day by the pool and a cookout at Lynn and Brian's. We enjoyed visiting with all our new friends who live there and/or visit even more than we do. Mommy and Seager went to bed and Joe went to the hotel party to ring in the New Year. He did join us in the room for the final countdown and that was the end of 2005.
Seager welcomed 2006 bright eyed and excited about the balloons that Daddy brought him! We had some breakfast, packed up, loaded up and headed for Georgia.
I'm guessing that will be our last Beach trip for a few months. We now move into baby mode. With only 50 days to go, I guess I better get busy with the preparations. No, we don't have a name yet...and you all know I wouldn't tell you if we did!
So... Welcome 2006!
It should be a wild ride!
