Our July has been dedicated to everything WET! Seager became a "Tadpole" in his first year of swimming lessons. We were able to dodge all the thunderstorms and enjoy our classes three days a week. Seager was an eager student up until his instructor Matt asked him to start putting his face in the water. When asked why he did not want to do that his reply was simply..."It's not fun, Mommy." And that's all he had to say about that.

We were invited to the Lake by our good friends, the Tabaks! We had a wonderful day and evening enjoying the lake on their boat. Both Seager and Dagon love to be out on the water. Dagon was laughing out loud as Mark drove the boat fast across the lake. He's our daredevil and likes to go FAST!Here's another picture of Mommy (as stated before...don't get used to it) and Seager taking a dip.
This guy came driving up and Dagon wanted to join him on his boat for one reason only...just look closely at his first mate!
After Seager's last swim class, we headed off to Mamaw's to practice all he had learned, show off his new skills and let little Dagon finally get wet instead of just watching! Cousin Josh volunteered to become swim instructor ...

Who needs Spiderman, Dagon wants to be Frogman! Frogman saves the world riding around in his mini-Space Shuttle wearing his evil deflecting floaties! We had a big family dinner to wish Aunt Katrina a very Happy Birthday. There was singing and cake. The next morning we decided to go on a big adventure - Helton Creek Falls. It is a nice hike into the mountains and a great place for a new "Cousin Photo". Unfortunately, neither Seager or Dagon were very cooperative. Photos require the subjects to sit still, if only for a few seconds. This proved to be quite difficult for two little boys who were determined to be IN the water instead of sitting around the water. We did the best we could and got a couple of shots that were not perfect but acceptable. Next time we will go on a quiet Monday morning and have more time and less interruptions by crazy others wanting to swim and scream and just be annoying in general.
As always in August, we are celebrating the HOT & Hazy Dog Days of Summer, this year it seems to take on a whole new meaning!!!
Sorry, couldn't resist!
Damn, it's HOT!
