Bampire and the Beast

It's the HALLOWEEN Season...BOO!
Despite the fact that there is CHIRSTMAS stuff in every store...what's next? They should just rename it Hallomas and we'll all sing some new songs like "Deck the Halls with Spooks and Goblins, Wa ha ha ha ha - ha ha ha ha" or how about "We wish you a politically correct Hallowmas and a Happy New Valentine!" It's just getting ridiculous. And who are all these poorly costumed people standing on every street corner with signs pointing to the nearest Halloween Costume Superstore. Don't you people have any imagination??? Go to the thrift store and get creative. Spend $5 instead of $40. People are still talking about the time Joe and a buddy went to a party as Hooters Girls (Miss You Mike and Julia!). I will find that photo and post it just to inspire all of you! Okay, okay onto the Bampire (not a typo, just Seager's pronunciation of Vampire) and the Beast (a very cute one!)

This is our second annual trek to the Bit of Heaven Farm for their most generous and fun Halloween Festivities. And this year we had a special guest with us... Aunt Lori! Joe and I were very thankful for that! Dagon couldn't walk last year and was easy to keep up with. Not so for this year. It took all three adults to keep up with them both. All these wonderful pictures are compliments of Aunt Lori, our family photographer!
Seager decided he wanted to be a Bampire several weeks ago. He's a cool blood sucker!
Dagon is our little gorilla. Both entered the costume competition.

The competition was FIERCE (well not really the little flower).
Mommy realized when we got home tonight that Dagon's costume would have been better had he held a toy airplane in one hand and a Barbie in the other...then he could have been the more famous KING KONG instead of just cute little Dagon the Gorilla. But anyway...Seager won 2nd Place!

First place went to the surfer girl. I did have several people say Seager should have won 1st, but the surfer girl was cute and Seager was just as happy with his prize...a Halloween book and Red Ribbon with a Mr. Elbow on it. (Mr. Elbow is the name for all skeletons).

Here are the winners with their prizes! Okay, Mommy should have gotten Seager the Bampire some black shoes. I looked but didn't find any in time. Oh well.
Seager celebrated with a nice HI-C Juice Box...Blood flavor.

And Dagon just continued to look cute.
Next on the agenda...Face Painting then.....Pumpkin Painting!

Dagon really enjoyed this. The only problem was he kept painting the pumpkin belonging to the little girl next to him. She'd look away and he'd reach over and put his artistic flair on her creation. Aunt Lori got him focused on his.

We had some food, did some jumping and Seager danced with Elvis. Lori caught this crazy Braves fan trying to sneak through the fence and crash the party. He almost didn't make it through the fence! It started to get dark we put on our sweatshirts and went on the hayride!

We had a great time and look forward to the Bit of Heaven fun next year! Thanks again Dondra and Martha for inviting us!
Our calendar is full this month of fun things going on. I will try my best to keep up with the posts and all the cute pictures. Next weekend is a real surprise! I can't wait. Look out Misty...here we come...ready or not!
