After a swift labor, less than 5 hours, I arrived at the hospital "complete" at 10 cm (boy was that an interesting ride to the hospital!). Unfortunately, as with Seager, it was all for naught and I ended up with a repeat C-section. Once again, I tried, but it just wasn't in the cards for me to deliver my boys the natural way. Anyway, I got him here and that is all that matters!
Dagon (pronounced "Day Gun") means God of the Sea, or Fish-God in the Bible. He joins Seager (our "Sea Warrior") and hopefully will enjoy the beach as much as the rest of us.
He is just a tiny thing, but I think he's been here before a few times! He knew just how to nurse right away and hasn't stopped since. He sleeps very good, something his brother never did, and is only upset when he isn't bundled up tight or is having his diaper changed. I hope this trend continues for a very long time!

Look at that white hair! And it's wavy! We think he takes after his Papoo. He has long fingers like Mommy and monkey toes, like Mommy.
Brothers
Seager's first visit with his new brother was an exciting, but tiring experience for both boys. Seager is quite excited and seems to be taking it all pretty well. He wants to hold the baby and point out his nose, ears and hat. His latest thing
is stealing Dagon's pacifier and running away as fast as he can with it in his mouth. Of course, when he was a baby he wasn't interested in a pacifier at all. He thinks it's very funny! He also wants to share...we found a potato chip (Seager's favorite snack)in the bassinet.

Here we have Seager teaching Dagon how to make funny faces!
Or maybe it's the other way around.
Big brother also likes to rock the baby and sing him to sleep. The only negative so far is Seager's new desire to scream or squeal at the top of his lungs. At first, he only did it when Dagon cried, but now he runs through the house screaming all the time. I hope this is a very short lived stage because we absolutely hate it! It was one of the things that Joe and I never wanted...I'm sure this will not be the only thing to happen that we
never wanted! As you can see he understands the concept of "sshhhh quiet", but can't seem to follow through.

So that's our first week. Other than occasional back-ups at the changing table (take a number) everything is going much smoother than I anticipated.
Mamaw is taking good care of all of us, Daddy is trying to work and help out, Mommy is recovering fairly quick and the brothers are IN CHARGE!
We'll keep you posted!
